the new laptop battery arrived and is installed – having working apm again for my laptop will be a good thing. My work laptop @ p3/500’s nicer than this guy’s p2/300, but that’s ok
This, for instance, is under 'H' for 'Toy'

ok, so this is actually a post that failed to get posted yesterday (Tuesday).
saw rob, sonja,
Accepted a job at PharmaNet today – first day’s Wednesday. Should be fun stuff, and helping out clinical trials will give me tiny warm fuzzies about in some small way contributing to the advancement of medicine.
I get to work with
Anyway, back on topic – yeah, starting at PharmaNet :) That means no having to move to Boston, which as most of you remember, is the critical thing since our house will be done in a month or so. Yay!
whoa – finally saw an old Crank Yankers and saw the “Special Ed – I’ve Got Mail!” bit – the linux inside poster in the background (i’ve seen it lots of other places before) is cute.
game was crazy fun! I forgot to mention it was an all-star charity game of ex-players and other NBA players – Juan Dixon dropped in 40, Darrell (sp?) Armstrong had 30, Dunleavy had 27 I think, Battier had a few great shots. Morris Peterson didn’t meet a shot he didn’t like, especially 3’s. I think the final was like 162-154 – the halftime was like 84-78 or something. crazy stuff! A couple nice alley’s to Magette, Laettner and Ferry had decent games. Rodney Rogers showed his usual great outside touch. Ricky Price had a couple nice slashes. Jaren Jackson had some nice plays. It was sad that Grant couldn’t play, and Boozer/Avery didn’t seem to show up – maybe traffic problems :)
Anyway, it was very fun :)
tonight should be fun!
Anyway, should be a blast. Ryan’s last night in NC (or second to last) since he’s moving to Boston this weekend. I wish him well!
During my morning 2 hour run (2 1-hour shows and a half-hour show now) the end show was last night’s Daily Show – I can’t remember what the joke was, but I laughed so hard I had to stop running. Ack. Guess I should stick with more mundane stuff that doesn’t evoke as much of a physiological response?

oooohhh – /me notices “Loaded Weapon I” starting to record on the tivo. I shall be massively entertained.
the pain of dialup is taking 5 minutes to down the *installer* for something, knowing that the installer (which fetches packages for the “real installation”) is going to take a few hours to run.
Pain, pain, and more pain.
… watching BASEketball
… for the third time
… today
Dunno what it is, but there’s a definite set of things that can easily make me start laughing hysterically. Other entries on the list? things like Airplane!, monkeys, and Chad (my best man)
